JACOB ROBERGE
Biography
Jacob Roberge began his musical journey at the age of 10, when his mother signed him up for classical singing lessons at l'Accroche Notes school in Lévis. Driven by his passion, he soon after began learning piano, guitar, bass and drums, quickly demonstrating a versatile talent and an unwavering dedication to his art.
As a teenager, Jacob's voice brought him to the stage. He performed the role of Kurt in The Sound of Music at the Salle Albert-Rousseau in Quebec in 2011, as well as on tour across Quebec in 2012. His musical experiences continued during the 2015 and 2017 Quebec Opera Festivals, in which he performed with the Quebec Opera Chorus. In 2018, he participated in the Just for Laughs production of Fame at the Saint-Denis theater.
Jacob gained great popularity thanks to his one-man band covers of popular songs on YouTube, notably with his rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody, which went viral in April of 2020. In 2021, he continued to impress Quebec audiences by going to semi-final of the show Star Académie on the TVA network. In 2022-2023, he assumed the role of musical director on The Sound of Music in Montreal and Quebec. In 2024-2025, Jacob will find himself as musical director for the tour of Rita Baga's brand new show. Additionally, he will release his first album of original music in 2025.
